WHAT IS A COOKIE?

The use of cookies is used on almost all websites. These small data files play a significant role in implementing certain essential functions on a website.

Cookies are small files stored on the user's digital devices (such as PCs, tablets, smartphones, etc.). They allow a website to recognise a given device. Cookies can be used, for instance, to create statistics on users' usage of the website and to improve the website's content. Cookies are passive files and cannot collect information from the user's computer or spread computer viruses or other harmful programmes. Some cookies are placed by other websites (third parties) than the one indicated in the browser's URL address (address bar). These third-party cookies can be used for various purposes, including analytical tools or embedded comment fields. This means that cookies are stored by parties other than the website owner.

There are two main types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary and disappear when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain on the user's device for a longer period. When the user visits a website again, new session cookies are generated, while existing persistent cookies will be renewed.

If the shortcut keys do not work, and/or you are using a MAC, you should first identify which browser you are using and then follow the relevant instructions for that browser.

Note: If you use several different web browsers, you need to delete cookies in each one of them.

Please note that if you do not want to use cookies when visiting fischer.dk, it may affect your experience of visiting the website.

WHY DO WE INFORM ABOUT COOKIES?

It is a requirement for all websites in Europe to inform users about which cookies are set on the user's digital devices. The information must comply with the Executive Order No. 1148 of 9 December 2011 on Information and Consent Required in Case of Storing and Accessing Information in End-User Terminal Equipment.
